Fitness Friday # 2
This Friday does not bring many updates that need to be etched in history or anything.
As I mentioned last Friday I have been trying to get back into my treadmill.
So far I have done an excellent job of keeping up with my schedule of Sunday, Wednesday and Friday's. It's only a half hour each time and I am alternating between running for a couple minutes and walking a couple as well. I can't seem to walk/run fast enough though because I still only go a total of 2 1/2 miles each time! Today, for some reason it was a smidgen harder for me to keep focused and in the end I had MAJOR heartburn.
I think that was due to my taking some Motrin before I hopped on my treadmill for a headache I had. I have GERD (fuck - am I old!) and certain things bother me at times. Especially when I am exerting myself. It sucks and I am slowly learning what foods and meds irritate it the most. I totally forgot to eat something when I took it - so it's my fault that I suffered this time.
I have also started riding my stationary bike in between days as well. For that I can do 5 miles in a half hour and boy - do I work up a sweat! My whole body is dripping after I get off the bike!
But, I gotta be careful though that I do not injure my knee because I did that a few years back and my leg never *really* fully recovered. So far, so good though.
Let's see....
I also did my abs workout as well. I have so much belly fat though, I worry that it might never flatten because I had a C section with my daughter and I waited so long to start strength training it. I was never totally washboard flat - but even half of what I am now would be nice!
It's funny - the top part of my tummy, you can see some shape to it and that it wants to be curved and tight, then as you go down it starts to stick out and get rounder! It's very strange. Sometimes I feel like one of those people that have liver disease or something... That's what it reminds me of.. lol
Tomorrow I start my strength training for my arms/back and shoulders I think. Was supposed to do it this week, but......... aw hell, I really don't have any excuses. I was being lazy. I get like that during the week. I really shouldn't though. When my arms are tone, they look awesome.. And I got a shapely back as well - when it is tone as well.
So..... has anybody done any fitness routines this week at all? If so - please leave a comment and let me know! I'd love to hear about it all.
And thank you to all that left a comment yesterday with regards to my "Sexy legs HNT."
I knew that I loved my legs, but wow! I never really thought that they looked that good.

September 19, 2009 11:54 AMI totally understand what you are saying. I am constantly up and down with my fitness and it totally ticks me off! For all the times that I stopped my workouts, I figure if I just kept going... I'd probably look like a million bucks right now!

Hubman - That is awesome! Cardio rocks! I am hoping that increased cardio will help me to shed some of this weight! I use to have awful eating habits as well. Now for the most part I am ok - but I fall off the wagon every now and again!
