The last Monday in November...

Ok, so I didn't forget about my Monday post anyways...

Only in America ... can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance.

Only in America ... are there handicap parking places in front of a skating rink.

Only in America ... do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.

Only in America ... do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and a diet coke.

Only in America ... do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.

Only in America ... do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put, our useless junk in the garage.

Only in America ... do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we will not miss a call from someone we did not want to talk to in the first place.

Only in America ... do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.

Only in America ... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

Only in America ... do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

Happy Monday everyone!

Still alive...

Ok...so shoot me, I have not been here since last week. Not even an HNT post!

No excuses - I'm just lazy.

I have been reading that damn Twilight series and am finally almost done. Just finished book number three. Only one more to go.

All has been well here in my little end of the world. Family member had a birthday a few weeks ago, then we had Thanksgiving and I have been off for a few days.
Now starts the shopping season - which I hate to no end. I only like shopping when my tax return comes in. My daughter and I usually go to the mall and piss a few hundred out the window and have a great day getting lunch and all.

It's amazing how fast this year has gone! I long for the warm days of summer already...

The tan lines...the smell of the coconut tanning lotion while listen to the sounds of the water...

Come on summer! Hurry up back here... :)

Still have not been to the adult sites. I think I might just hang it up. It's good for a while, then it gets really boring. There are only so many cute guys in the world to look at..Only seems like something fun to do in the summer months..

Maybe if I don't look - I will actually come across one. But, then again....who knows - maybe I will look tonight.

lol.... I drive myself batty sometimes..

Thoughts for Sunday.

Yo' peeps.

I dunno. Just felt like writing it. Don't ask. As I sit here with my therapy light, I figured I would write a quick post. Week has been pretty busy work wise. It did go by really fast though!

We had a good amount of people outta work this past week as well, so that makes my job a bit harder. But maybe that's why it went by so fast - because I was running my tail off.

Gluten free diet has been going pretty darn good this week. It has been my first week away from all gluten and it's been really easy so far. This seems like it is pretty do-able for me. And my tummy has felt better as well.

I still have not ventured onto the adult sites at all. Just have not been interested I guess. I just need to be in the mood for the thought of being with other guys.

And the thought of being with a married guy disgusts me. The fact that they are on there cheating on their wives - when their wives probably do not have a clue.. really upsets me. I guess it's because if my bf ever cheated on me I would be devastated. And on one of the sites you can't even tell if they are married - there is no option to show it - so that is a real turn off.

Since I am sensitive towards others feelings - it is that reason alone that bothers me.

What IF I met a totally hot guy, had a threesome with him and my bf... then he turned out to be married? Sure, you all are gonna say, "it would not be your fault" and although, this IS true it does not remove the fact that it has been done. That's what I could not live with.

This is probably why we have not found anyone yet. They are all married and they read our profile and run!

Eventually - we will find a cute little hottie that my bf and I can be with. Waiting is the hardest part I suppose. I suppose it does not help that I never send out emails to those I think are hot.
I get all shy it seems! I'm sooo not good with flirting - lol.

Well, I'm off to finish reading. My therapy light time is up. Everyone have a great Sunday!

HNT - oldie but goodie

So, these two pictures are about two years old. Might actually be three? Not sure, but I liked them so I thought I would post em.
Yeah, I'm just being too lazy to go and snap pictures of myself. I have a few "identifying" marks on me - so it's really hard to get the right angle. And there is only so much I can do when I'm doing it on my own..and... I am extremely picky as well.

(plus - I am writing this Wednesday night - my kid has late classes tonight! lol)

Happy HNT Everyone!

Sunday brings new links.

Wow! I have not been here for the whole week. Sorry kiddies. it's been one of those weeks. It was quite a week at work. Busy - busy, as we had a good amount of people out. (conferences, charity events and what not) So I was just running non stop on some days.

I have been meaning to post, but I am also trying to launch new blogs and all that as well, so much of my time has been doing SEO shit and all that. I have met a couple of really nice bloggers over the past few weeks as well. Not met as in physical, but as in email communication.

One I would like to mention is a really nice woman named Madison who contacted me a few weeks ago to ask if she would be able to link my blog to hers. I went to her blog (finally) last weekend and was able to do some reading and poking around. I liked what I saw so I said yes. She is a co founder of the site and her site is called "The Erotic Woman" and it's really a great site. My blog is in the "links & links to us" section. scroll down to where is says "TEW Favourite Blogs" and you will find me there. It's really a great read and I absolutely love the design style. Easy on the eyes and very appealing as well. From galleries to stories to poetry, she has it all.

I am partial to the *Hunks* section. Good Gawd... talk about hot men. Whew! Me loves me some hot men!

I really think you should hop on over there and check it out. You won't be disappointed. I have her in my links section over on the left sidebar as well.

<--------------------- I have also been contacted from another up and coming blog that I will actually be doing toy reviews for as well. I have not heard much from them though, so I'm not sure when they would like me to start posting my reviews. I got a few swirling around in my head just waiting to be written. Had a great Friday night with my bf. He has been so busy at work being on call and everything, that we really have not seen each other much. That stinks but I understand it. Hopefully this week can be a bit more normal. Have not even checked the adult sites at all. Have not been in the mood for it I guess. Still doing my therapy light and my reading as well. Will post another *mental fitness* post maybe this Friday or something.

Thank you to all my new readers and followers that have decided to jump on the Sexy Forty train. I get my stat counter info emailed to me every Monday morning, and it seems that Monday, Thursday and Friday's are my best days for returning visitors, so thank you my readers for making that possible. If it wasn't for my readers - I'd have no traffic!

(ok..ok... so I know a little bit about SEO shit as well..)

I'm glad that I have been able to entertain you and that you enjoy my blog enough to keep coming back. I hope I can keep doing it for a long time as I love to write and help people as well.

Sorry that I did not post an HNT last week.. Was just not in the old HNT mood I guess. Will try to be a good girl and post one this Thursday though!

Some HMO humor

Happy Monday everyone! I came across this little ditty and thought you guys might like it. It explains HMO's with a bit more depth...heehee...

And take a look at the pics after. Second one just cracks me up.

Q. What does HMO stand for?

A. This is actually a variation of the phrase, "HEY MOE. " Its roots go back to a concept pioneered by Moe of the Three Stooges, who discovered that a patient could be made to forget about the pain in his foot if he was poked hard enough in the eyes.

Q. I just joined an HMO. How difficult will it be to choose the doctor I want?

A. Just slightly more difficult than choosing your parents. Your insurer will provide you with a book listing all the doctors in the plan. These doctors basically fall into two categories - those who are no longer accepting new patients, and those who will see you but are no longer participating in the
plan. But don't worry; the remaining doctor who is still in the plan and accepting new patients has an office just a half-day's drive away, and a diploma from a Third World country.

Q. Do all diagnostic procedures require pre-certification?

A. No. Only those you need.

Q. Can I get coverage for my preexisting conditions?

A. Certainly, as long as they don't require any treatment

Q. What happens if I want to try alternative forms of medicine?

A. You'll need to find alternative forms of payment.

Q. My pharmacy plan only covers generic drugs, but I need the name brand. I tried the Generic Medication, but it gave me a stomach ache. What should I do?

A. Poke yourself in the eye.

Q. What if I'm away from home and I get sick?

A. You really shouldn't do that.

Q. I think I need to see a specialist, but my doctor insists he can handle my problem. Can a general practitioner really perform a heart transplant right in his office?

A. Hard to say, but considering that all you're risking is the $20 co-payment, there's no harm in
giving him a shot at it.

Q. Will health care be different in the next century?

A. No. But if you call right now, you might get an appointment by then.

Vagina cave? This is gross.

This cracks me up everytime.

Happy Monday everyone! Have a great week!!

Another "Mental fitness" moment.

Dammit! I did it again! I forgot to post my *Fitness Friday* yesterday. I don't know where my brain is lately. I guess I'm just trying to change up my routine a bit.
That and I am trying to work on my other blogs in my squeaky clean, vanilla world. I like to keep myself occupied during the winter because I so easily fall into a seasonal depression. And you all know I am a geek when it comes to computer stuff.. lol.

So, how bout a mental - fitness - belated - Friday post? You all still lub me right?

Having read that book - that I was telling you guys about Here - I have actually begun to recognize a sort of series of things that I do when I am getting sad, or annoyed or what not.

It's actually been really helpful because I am learning to actually say to myself, "wait... why are you thinking that way..take a breath, consider the other options"

Personal growth is an amazing feeling I think.

And honestly, It's been nice learning about myself. It is such an amazing feeling to realize I am not some crazy loon and that these feelings, actions, and results are from my personality and my up bringing (or lack of... lol)

Here is a quote from the book -

1."If you were exposed to repeated separations from those you were attached to,
or if you experienced repeated rejection or abuse. All of these things share the
ability to create insecurity, because they are all experienced as a loss. Loss of
what? Basically, of affection, support, and comfort. That is what attachments
do for us: they provide us with a sense of worth and belonging, they help us
to feel grounded, and they form the foundation of inner serenity. In contrast,
broken attachments make us vulnerable to insecurity.", [Joseph Nowinski, Ph.D.,The Tender Heart]

Rejection was a constant thing in my house. I was never hugged as a kid, and the people that did actually hug me - turned out to be sexually abusive! So, because I have a sensitive personality in the later years it turned into an insecurity. The trigger? It was my brother dying. Before that I always was able to somewhat keep my insecurities under wraps.

My mother - she was a drunk, forever going into detox all the time. Always beating up the police, always going off on a drinking binge whenever she fought with her crazy, cunt of a gf.

Because I was a sensitive kid - this was viewed by me as a loss and abandonment. And honestly - it was abandonment! I can remember as far back as being about 2 or 3 sitting in my high chair - eating hotdogs (of all things!) while my mother left me sitting there to go to the store!

What kind of parent does that? Not a loving, warm, nurturing parent.

I had so many people come in and out of my life when I was little. From foster parents to teachers to my moms friends - each time they left (because of my sensitive personality) it was a loss and also an abandonment. And this is what I became use to my entire growing years.

So, that's just a few things I have learned while reading this book. It's most definitely a good read. Will explore some more quotes that I have and work my way through them as time permits. Till then - here is the link to buy the book if anyone is interested.

November's HNT!

So, here is a quickie for everyone to see! The kid went to the store so I got a little bit of time... lol

As you can see - I figured out how to use the paint feature in my IrfanView. (that's the photo editing program I have used for years!) I grayed out the right side of the picture because, to me it was too identifying..

Anyways, I think it's a relatively new addition to the program. It's cool - like Gimp I think.

So remember when I was telling you how my bf really loved the nightie I wore that night we came home from our threesome date with Mr. Married? well, this is the one - thought I would share a pic of it. Hope you all like! I know my bf did!

Happy HNT everyone!
